Burst’s AdConductor ad management platform is the core to all of Burst Media’s operations, and is sold to web publishers and ad networks to manage their advertising operations. Burst Sales Positions

Account Executive - Burst Direct (Latham, NY)

If you love a fast paced, exciting sales environment with lots of growth potential then Burst Direct might be just what you are looking for!

Burst Direct is seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team. The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for making outbound sales calls to Advertising Agencies and Direct Marketers who sell consumer products on a national level. The AE is responsible for assessing clients’ needs and recommending appropriate advertising solutions to meet their business objectives. The AE position will be responsible for prospecting, cold calling, and solution selling. Knowledge of the advertising industry or media ad sales experience highly preferred. This is an inside-sales position with limited travel required.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Internet Savvy – experience selling on-line advertising highly preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce.com).

Account Executive - Internet Advertising (London)

The Primary purpose/function of the Account Executive is to generate advertising revenue and close business with new advertisers. This includes prospecting, contacting, qualifying, negotiating and closing business with clients. Secondarily, the Account Executive is expected to work closely with the Client Development Associate to negotiate renewal contracts and create long-term relationships with our advertisers/agencies. This would include a focus on establishing relationships and investing time with agencies and clients seeking specialty advertising, as well as, identifying and closing business with volume advertisers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Consistently attain monthly sales goals
  • Contact, qualify, negotiate and close business with new clients/agency representatives
  • Work with Client Development Associate to ensure renewal of business
  • Continually update personal knowledge of Burst Media’s products/services and industry information
  • Ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years sales success with various advertising agencies
  • Proven negotiation, persuasion and closing skills
  • Ability to work independently & within a self directed team environment
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, written and telephone skills
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and the Internet.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Account Executive - Inside Advertising Sales

The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for making outbound sales calls to advertising agencies and clients direct. The AE is also responsible for assessing clients' needs and recommending appropriate advertising solutions to meet their objectives. This position will entail prospecting, teamwork, cold calling, and solution selling. Knowledge of advertising industry or ad sales experience preferred.

  • Consistent track record for developing new business and managing complex sales cycles from lead generation to closing deals

Internet Client Development Associate

The position of Client Development Associate is at the core of our company. This position directly interfaces with Sales, Traffic, Marketing, Publisher Services and most importantly, our customer: the Advertiser/Ad Agency.

In this position, a person will begin developing strong client relationships with Advertisers and Ad Agencies after a campaign has been sold by our Sales Team. Using our proprietary tools, the CD will learn what makes a campaign run well and perform to meet the advertiser's goal. Using our optimization tools, the CD will develop insight and techniques to maximize the effeiciency of each campaign. The CD will also have the responsibility of communicating on a regular basis with the client about how the campaigns are running and offer recommendations for enhancements.

In this role you will work closely with the Sales team to renew or up-sell customers at the end of each campaign. This is an exciting position that offers tremendous opportunity for upward mobility throughout the company.

Marketing Positions

Business Development Associate

Burst Media currently has an opening for a motivated successful Business Development Associate to join our growing team in the Burlington, MA office. The Business Development Associate is primarily responsible for the identification and recruitment of web publishers, and to expand relationships with existing Burst Media publishers, in line with the goals of the Business Development Department. The Business Development professional will be accountable for increasing the number and quality of Burst Media publishers in the US and UK. This professional will also be involved in presentations, developing marketing collateral, and negotiating relationships with web publishers to establish business relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify, attract, and enroll Web publishers through the Burst Media membership process
  • Identify new opportunities for growth and expansion of advertising inventory in the US and UK
  • Prospect for new publishers using lead sources and develop creative ways to target and contact potential Burst Media publishers
  • Work with the Marketing and Sales Departments to determine areas of demand and develop messaging appropriate to those markets
  • Assist in development of collateral materials for the recruitment of publishers
  • Able to work independently, use company reporting tools, and provide regular status updates

Requirements:

  • Entrepreneurial approach to business development
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to present and "close" on prospects
  • Organized, ambitious, energetic and self-starting
  • Willing to cold call prospects and follow up on leads
  • Direct experience with Internet advertising, publishing or other media sales experience a plus but not required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Able to build and maintain relationships in person and via the phone
  • 2+ years of work experience in a customer-facing role

Senior Software Engineer (C#.NET)

As a Senior Software Engineer at Burst, you would create, enhance, and maintain the .NET applications and web services using C# and Microsoft SQL Server that facilitate the running of our business and employee productivity. You will work on a dynamic team that always encourages input from all employees and values creativity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in software development and support
  • Experience developing applications using C# and .NET.
  • Solid commitment to quality and testing
  • Sound familiarity with the software development life cycle
  • Experience in writing complex SQL Server queries
  • Experience in database design, triggers, stored procedures and user-defined functions a plus.
  • Understanding of source control and versioning techniques.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to learn new skills quickly and independently.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team but also to manage many simultaneous tasks without direct supervision

Client Management

Internet Advertising Account Manager

The Internet Advertising Account Manager is responsible for managing advertiser and publisher relationships on an ad network.

This position requires an avid interest in the Internet and familiarity with current web trends in the web design, security/privacy, and web communities.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Recruit publishers to join emerging ad networks
  • Provide exceptional advertiser and publisher support to clients
  • Utilize software to set-up and manage and optimize internet campaigns
  • Work with websites to ensure proper set-up for ad serving, based on their preferences
  • Test and Post Creatives (gifs, ipegs,third party, iframes, flash, Eyeblaster, Pointroll, Unicast and other rich media)
  • Implement campaign changes to meet client expectations
  • Manage creative problems and troubleshooting (links not working, animation showing properly, third party tracking issues, etc.)

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally via e-mail and telephone

Benefits

Medical Insurance– we offer Blue Cross/Blue Shield as our health care provider. The coverage is 3 tiered and covers all of your medical needs.

Dental Insurance– Burst Media has 2 dental plans, basic and premium, this plan is offered through Guardian Insurance and is a 2 tiered plan.

Life Insurance – All employees are covered up to one year of their salary and the employee may chose to supplement this for themselves as well as their spouse or children.

Disability Coverage– Burst offers both short term and long term disability. Short term disability coverage begins after a 2 week absence for work. It covers 60% of your salary up to $1,500 a week and the coverage period is 90 days. If you need to be out longer than 90 days then Long term disability will begin for up to a year.

401K Plan – The company matches a portion of an employees contribution and the plan is available on-line. This gives you complete control over all funds offered and the ability to move your money around at anytime. You are fully vested after 6 years.

Flexible Spending Account – We offer both health care reimbursement up to $1,500 per year and dependent care reimbursement up to $5,000 per year.

Paid Time Off – Every new employee starts with ten vacation days their first year, prorated from their hire date, which accrues. At every anniversary the employee starts accruing an extra day. All employees are awarded five sick days per year, prorated from their hire date.

Holidays – Burst has eleven holiday observations per year and five early closings per year to aid in safer travel experiences before the major holidays.
