Burst Sales Positions (Los Angeles)

Brand Solutions Developer

The Brand Solutions Developer will focus on supporting the regional sales team to sell online advertising, putting forth comprehensive, intelligent solutions for advertisers. Become a market expert in the region by gaining knowledge and building relationships with key advertisers and agencies. By becoming an expert on Company products and tools, the role will serve as a resource for the sales team regarding training, client presentations and overall consultation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze RFP's to determine a solution in line with budget and deadline parameters, work with Account Executives to provide successful proposal and client solutions.
  • Become an expert in major advertiser categories (i.e., autos, package goods and entertainment)
  • Build relationships with key advertisers and agencies in order to become a trusted partner with key decision makers.
  • Find appropriate sites within SalesDesktop when a sponsorship solution is needed and communicate same to publishers via email and phone, solicit custom opportunities, negotiate inventory and pricing to publisher, define creative specifications
  • Build effective proposal elements that communicate the “buy rationale,” advertiser benefits, and solution details.
  • Attend customer meetings, presenting proposals as necessary.
  • Build and maintain a library of custom proposals and sponsorship opportunities
  • Become an expert on Company proprietary software tools
  • Train the sales team on Burst Media products
  • Responsible for keeping sales team up to date on other department (Marketing and Publisher Services) activities, as they relate to sales.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing complex proposal solutions
  • Strong organizational time-management skills
  • Exceptional communications and presentation abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Powerpoint
  • At least 5 years of experience in a sales/business development role
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in online media, or performance advertising required

Operations

Expectations are to become the single point of contact for clients during the lifetime of the campaign, and to work with the 3rd party Sales team to meet their campaign objectives with optimization, statistics and creative.

This position requires an avid interest in the Internet and familiarity with current web trends in the web design, security/privacy, and web communities.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Provide exceptional advertiser and publisher support to clients
  • Utilize software to set up, manage and optimize internet campaigns
  • Work with websites to ensure proper setup for ad serving, based on their preferences
  • Test and Post Creatives (gifs, ipegs,third party, iframes, flash, Eyeblaster, Pointroll, Unicast and other rich media)
  • Implement campaign changes to exceed client expectations
  • Manage creative problems and troubleshooting (links not working, animation showing properly, third party tracking issues, etc.)
  • Recruit publishers to join emerging ad networks
  • Inside sales: Prospect and arrange calls with potential clients to utilize adConductor services and technology to gain access to inventory available from participating networks powered by the adConductor Inventory Exchange.
  • Occasional local/overnight travel required for outside sales calls.
  • Provide financial support to customers as needed to reconcile campaigns, bill advertisers, pay publishers and report on monthly advertising revenue.
  • Train new customers on adConductor technology, user interfaces and applications.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally via e-mail and telephone.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Sales database management tools a plus).
  • HTML knowledge a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to think analytically.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and prioritize under pressure.

Client Development Associate

Expectations are to become the single point of contact during the lifetime of the campaign, and to work with the customers meeting their campaign objectives with optimization, statistics and creative. Expectations are also to renew or up-sell all customers at the end of each campaign and help establish long-term relationships with our clients. The client development professional also focuses on renewing all customers at the end of each campaign while continuously prospecting and working with the Account Executive to generate new business. Additional expectations include:

  • Reviewing and entering contract information into a database
  • Obtaining creative materials from advertisers
  • Scheduling and launching online advertising campaigns
  • Analyze and monitor ongoing campaign delivery status and performance
  • Maintaining and revising the campaigns at advertiser's request
  • Compiling post-campaign evaluations.
  • Strategizing with Account Executives to break new business and grow existing client base
  • Becoming the point of contact for sales renewals and upsells
  • Building solid customer relationships, acting as point person for customer questions and concerns

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years professional experience
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with the Internet and Windows applications
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly

Work/Life Benefits

Medical Insurance - The Company offers Blue Cross/Blue Shield as our medical care provider. The coverage is 3 tiered and should cover all of your medical needs.

Dental Insurance - We offer Guardian Insurance as our dental care provider.  The plan has 2 levels (basic and premium), and is a 2 tiered plan.

Group Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment - The Basic Benefit is equal to 1 x an employee's annual earnings up to $200,000 maximum.   Additional employee, spousal and dependent coverages are available.

Short and Long Term Disability Coverage - Short term disability coverage begins after a 14-day elimination period. It covers 60% of your salary up to $1,500 per week for a maximum of 90 days. Long term disability provides 60% of salary coverage for a maximum of $10,000 per month after the 90 day elimination period, lasting to age 65.

401K Plan - Employees may contribute up to 90% of their pre-tax earnings into the Fidelity sponsored plan; the company currently matches 50% of the first 4% of employee contribution.

Flexible Spending Account - The Company allows you to set aside pre-tax money to help pay for eligible expenses. (up to $2,500 for Healthcare and $5,000 for Dependent Care).

Paid Time Off - Employees accrue 10 vacation days and 5 sick days per year - accruing an extra day of vacation with every year of employment.

Parental Leave - The Company provides two (2) weeks of paid leave for employees with newborn or adopted children.

Holidays - The Company observes 11 paid holidays and 5 early closings per year.

Tuition Reimbursement - The Company will reimburse you for courses taken relating to your present or future job with the company.  Reimbursement is limited to $1,000 per calendar year per employee for all tuition, books, lab fees and registration; payment is pro-rated depending on the grade you receive.
